Harvey Williams Bears are based in Hampshire, UK.
All of our bears are beautifully handmade and collectors' items. We must stress that they are are not suitable for children as toys.
Each bear is an original one-of-a-kind creation and we specialise in small & miniatures bears.
How our bears are crafted
Each bear is created and totally hand-stitched by Lesley Williams, who is currently based in Hampshire.
Various lengths of finest German or English mohair are used, from a very short 3mm pile, to a longer 25mm pile. Sparse mohair has always been popular in the production of traditional handmade bears, but dense, distressed, tipped, and laid pile are just some of the other types of mohair that we use.
We use cotter pin joints to fully joint all of our bears and then usually use either black or coloured glass eyes.
100% Wool felt/fabric or moleskin is generally used for the paws, in a variety of colours and the nose is embroidered. Extra detailing to the face & paws adds bags of character, as we like our Harvey Williams Bears to have their own little personality!
Our bears are generally stuffed with a mixture of polyester and steel shot, for added weight.
Each of our Harvey Williams Bears are designed to be one-of-one-creations, with their own character and natural huggability!
